The Faber TP-59NG Vintage Spec Stop Tailpiece is based on the original Gibson® tailpieces from the late 1950s and is made from lightweight aluminum. Compared to the widely used zinc tailpieces today, the low weight ensures significantly improved vibration transfer as well as a more open and resonant sound.

While Gibson® used aluminum in the original Les Paul models of the 1950s, zinc tailpieces were mostly used later for cost reasons. The Faber TP-'59 revives the historical design and offers an authentic vintage sound.

Due to its low weight—only about a quarter of a conventional zinc tailpiece—the guitar sounds acoustically livelier and more resonant. The sound impresses with more warmth, pronounced mids, additional overtones, and an overall more nuanced response.

Replacement of the existing tailpiece studs is not necessary. The tailpiece can be mounted on the existing studs.

The glossy nickel finish provides a classic look and perfectly matches instruments with nickel hardware.
