Description
The Faber TP-59GA Vintage Spec ALU Stop Tailpiece is based on the specifications of the legendary 1959 stop tailpieces and impresses with its low weight and excellent sound properties. Made from high-quality aluminum, this tailpiece offers a significant improvement in vibration transfer compared to conventional zinc tailpieces.
In the 1950s, Gibson® used aluminum for the stop tailpieces of their Les Paul models before switching to zinc for cost reasons. Aluminum tailpieces weigh only a fraction of comparable zinc tailpieces and provide a more resonant, open, and lively sound.
The string vibration is transmitted particularly distinctly and richly. Even unamplified, the instrument sounds more acoustic and resonant. When amplified, the tailpiece impresses with a warm, round sound character, pronounced mids, and additional overtones.
The aged gold finish (Gold Aged) also gives the instrument an authentic vintage look and perfectly matches aged or historically inspired instruments.
The existing screw bolts can generally be reused, so no additional modifications are necessary.
