Description
The Faber ST-XL INA '59 ABR studs are high-quality, extra-long bridge studs made from German bell brass alloy and were specially developed for Gibson® Historic and Custom Shop guitars with ABR-1 bridges.
As reported in many specialist forums and by guitar makers, the holes for the ABR-1 bridge studs on many Gibson® guitars are significantly deeper than the short studs used as standard. The Faber ST-XL studs take advantage of this extra depth by fully resting in the body ("bottoming out"), thereby improving vibration transfer between the bridge and the instrument.
The result is a more open sound, more sustain, a more direct response, and an overall more resonant playing experience.
The aged nickel surface gives the studs an authentic vintage look and perfectly matches aged or historically inspired instruments.
