Description
The Faber ST-XL IGA Studs were specially developed for guitarists who want to get the most out of their instrument. The extra-long ABR-1 studs made of high-quality German Bell Brass can improve the vibration transfer between bridge and body, contributing to a more resonant sound, more sustain, and a more direct response.
On many Gibson® Historic and Custom Shop models, the holes for the ABR-1 studs are significantly deeper than the standard studs installed. The Faber ST-XL Studs take advantage of this extra depth by extending further into the body and “bottoming out” there. Many guitarists report improved resonance and a more open sound.
Installation is very simple: the existing studs are removed and replaced with the Faber ST-XL Studs. The existing thumbwheels are still used.
The aged gold finish (Gold Aged) also provides an authentic vintage look and perfectly matches aged or historically inspired instruments.
