Specifications:
- Model: Ceriatone Big Deluxe - now sold under the name American Classics 5X3
- Reference: Fender 5E3 Tweed Deluxe
- Manufacture: Built directly by Ceriatone (not self-assembled)
- Power: approx. 20 watts (a bit more headroom than a classic 5E3 with about 16 W)
Tubes / Modifications:
- Power stage: 5881 instead of 6L6
- Rectifier: 5Y3 (NOS) instead of GZ34
- Character: Goes into saturation a bit earlier, softer breakup
Technical condition:
- Tube replacement was professionally carried out by a technician; amp was tested and rated as trouble-free / safe.
- Self-biasing circuit, so no re-biasing needed (according to the technician's explanation at the time).
